Observe: Hurts So Good?

Many of us live with physical pain and/or discomfort.

For some, it cannot be helped and for others following the problem can provide relief. But root causes of and solutions for pain are not the point of today's exercise.

Today is about awareness. Where do you carry tension and/or pain? Where does that pain affect mobility and/or movement tendencies? How does it evolve during the day? Importantly for our purposes: How does your breathing respond to these patterns?

Negotiating with the realities of a physical body is an important component in the journey towards your most efficient breath flow and your most effective voice. It can be tempting to ignore it and "power" through but, your breath cannot join you in that ignorance. The path to freer breath flow is in awareness.
