Flow: A Breath For Every Purpose

When we think of breathing well. (some of you sadly don’t do this enough) we often jump to taking “deep” breaths.
But, what if the that isn’t the point? What if, it is more important to take a “just right” breath? A breath to that matches your actual effort.
You do not need the same breath to run as you do to walk. Nor do you need the same breath to speak that you would need to sing unamplified into a 4000 seat hall. The demands are different, the effort is different and so the breath must be different as well.
So by all means practice deep breaths, and fast ones, and surprise ones. All with an invitation to ease in the breath, to flexibility in the body, and access to differences in the way you breathe.
